Tick off your city.Chase the FOMO.

Hyderabad has Charminar, a thousand chai stalls and more biryani than you can eat in a lifetime. Gpsy turns all of it into checklists you finish in person. GPS-verified, so every stamp is real.

How it works

Three steps. Zero couch points.

  1. 01

    Pick a collection

Old City heritage, the biryani trail, café hops, lakes at sunset. Choose a list you can finish.

  2. 02

    Go there. Check in.

Stand at the place and tap Check in. The server confirms your GPS, so the stamp is earned, not tapped.

  3. 03

    Collect the XP

Level up, earn metal badges, watch 'X% of Hyderabad' climb and pass your friends on the board.

The stamp moment

That feeling when the screen goes lime.

You are standing in front of Charminar. You tap once. Gpsy checks where you are, confirms it on the server, and the whole screen turns volt: your XP, your new percentage, your rank among friends.

Then share it. A transparent sticker for your own Instagram story says '25% of Hyderabad' louder than a caption ever could.

You cannot fake it

A stamp only counts if you were there.

Your phone sends a fresh GPS fix. The server checks it against the place, then checks you for mock-location apps and impossible travel speeds. Pass, and the stamp lands. Fail, and it does not.

  • Fresh fix. Under 2 minutes old, accurate to 150 m or better.
  • Right place. Inside that place's own radius. 60 m for a restaurant, up to 1 km for Ramoji Film City.
  • Honest speed. Faster than 120 km/h between stamps goes to review.
  • Fair play. One stamp per place per day. XP only for the first, ever.

Your city, in colour

Eleven kinds of Hyderabad. Six passport titles.

Every pin on the map has a colour and an icon. Every percentage you earn upgrades your title, from Mehmaan to Nizam of Hyderabad.

All questions
What is Gpsy?

Gpsy is a city checklist app. You pick a city, work through curated lists of its best places, and check in when you are physically there. The server verifies your location, so every stamp is real. You earn XP, levels and badges, and climb the leaderboards. Version one is Hyderabad only.

Is Gpsy free?

Yes. The whole game is free during the Hyderabad beta: checklists, stamps, XP, badges, leaderboards, the guide and Plan my Saturday.

When can I get it, and on which phones?

Gpsy is in a private beta for Hyderabad, built for both iPhone and Android. Join the waitlist and we will email you when your spot opens. We are letting people in in small batches, starting with the first 500 on the list.

How does Gpsy know I was really there?

Your phone sends a fresh GPS fix when you check in. The server accepts it only if the fix is under two minutes old, accurate to 150 metres or better, and inside the place's radius. It also rejects mock-location apps and impossible travel (faster than 120 km/h), and sends odd cases for review. You get one stamp per place per day.

Can I cheat with a fake GPS app?

Not easily. Mock locations are detected and rejected, and the server checks speed and daily limits. We are also working on device-level attestation for extra protection. A stamp on Gpsy is meant to be worth bragging about.

Does Gpsy track me all the time?

No. Gpsy asks for your precise location only when you check in or look for places near you, and you can withdraw consent at any time in Settings. We do not sell your location, and your profile is private unless you turn on a public profile.
